Hi, I’m Hal — a school psychologist helping kids build focus, follow-through, and emotional regulation through music
If you’ve ever felt like nothing seems to stick…
and you’re exhausted of repeating yourself all day…
I work with kids who struggle with attention, big emotions, and everyday routines.
And I kept seeing the same thing: strategies made sense… but didn’t stick.

Why I Created Regulation Rhythms
I created Regulation Rhythms after working with students. Kids who were capable, but struggled to apply strategies in the moment. After working with hundreds of kids in schools, what I realized is this: kids remember songs… but forget instructions.
There was one student I’ll never forget—let’s call her Willow.
She was bright, capable, and full of personality. But her day was filled with frustration.
We practiced strategies… but they weren’t there when she needed them.
But she remembered songs perfectly.
And that’s when it clicked.
Why Music Works
Rhythm improves memory and recall
Repetition happens without resistance
Kids engage instead of shutting down
Music gives kids a cue they can actually use in the moment
If you’ve ever felt like nothing seems to stick…
this might be exactly what your child has been missing.
